Top Gear Quizzing!

I have been to quite a few quizzes while in school, in college and in infy. Quizzing interests me a lot (though I may not be very good at it..lol) and gives me an adrenaline rush. I mean that feeling of missing an answer, or cracking a tough one cannot be described in words. So when Sunny asked me for Tata crucible, I said an immediate YES. We guys are like sucker for quizzes (and many a times a sucker at quizzes); we have won a few at our deptt. level(where there is a meagre competition..;) and failed miserably at a few.

The Tata quiz was superb.Man!! I was thrilled. This quiz is going to be etched in my memory for long. It was first televised quiz that I actually got a chance to see and also be a part of. We did not clear the prelims, but two other teams from infy did. And one of the two Infosys teams comprising Abhinav kishore and Yatharth won!! Now I know this guy, Abhinav is an absolute stunner when it comes to quizzing. He is a gem, heera hai heera. He would be an idol for anyone who loves quizzing. Very Commendable!.Two doctors from Indian army were runner-ups. they looked seasoned quizzers. talk about passion for quizzing:)

This quiz has encouraged me all the more to work harder!. A few questions were a close call for us. So, if we had used a little more discretion, we could have ended in top 6. But anyway. I am absolutely in love with this kinda quizzing. It gave me more adrenaline rush than any other quiz. It’s high on gloss and glamour too.:).he he

The host- the ever amicable- Giri was a powerhouse. It was great to see this guy. An entirely different experience from what we get on TV. Also, we got to see the Taj Chandigarh, my first visit to any Taj hotel, for that matter. The property is very average on outside, but quite lavish inside (it has to be, its Taj after all ;)). In fact it’s like Infosys buildings, lavishly maintained, though I must say the artwork and paintings were fabulous!

A wonderful experience overall. And yeah, it motivated me enough to improve my general knowledge which is biting the dust ever since I came to this project.;)
